Boots ‘n Bids 2021 Recap

On Friday, October 15th, over 300 people joined together to help children in foster care through the work of Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries in mid-Missouri. In three hours of time, $148,000 was raised!

Our 15th annual Boots ‘n Bids, presented by Robinson + Ries Orthodontics, was about celebrating the faces of foster care – but it was also a great evening of fun! This year, our event was held at The Crossing, one of our faithful Church Partners. Attendees were treated to a meal complete with Peggy Jean’s Pies, catered by Four Points Catering

We had online bidding wars, and fun raffles to win! Guests looked over their phones to try and win their favorite items.

Jody Blythe, a long-time supporter, mentioned her favorite part of the silent auction. “I was out bid on three other items at the very last minute so it was an exciting disappointment, but I’m so happy that the items went way above value. I can’t wait for your next online auction. I absolutely love these.”

Sarah Hill of Healium and Ian Clark with Iman Auction Company kept the action going during the live auction.

During the evening, our Founder, Larry McDaniel gave an impassioned speech that everyone can help a child in foster care, whether or not they are able to be a foster parent. “They are going to know you were here,” he said as he thanked the crowd for 30 years of ministry to over 700 children.

We think Joe Knight, our Director of Corporate Relations, says it best, “There were lots of boots, and even more bids.”

There are nearly 15,000 children in foster care in Missouri, and with everyone’s help, we know we can change the landscape of foster care.

Thank you to everyone who made it a great evening!
