Still Waters Program
Providing emergency care to children who have experienced domestic violence in Mid-Missouri.
About Still Waters
Still Waters is a short-term care option designed to give parents space to stabilize while ensuring children remain safe, cared for, and supported.
Our Still Waters program is currently able to support families that live in Boone, Howard, or Randolph County.
This program is built on compassion, respect, and flexibility. Every family’s situation is unique, and care is tailored to meet those individual needs.
Still Waters is not a permanent solution—it is a bridge during a challenging season.
What Families Can Expect
While a child is in Still Waters care:
– Parents remain connected and involved in meaningful ways whenever possible
– Communication and visitation are supported based on safety and appropriateness
– Children are cared for in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment
– Each child’s emotional and physical well-being is prioritized
– Families are treated with dignity, respect, and confidentiality
– Parents can pick up their children and end in the participation of Still Waters at any time
We work closely with parents to ensure they feel informed, supported, and included throughout the process. This program is provided at no cost to the families.
