Learn More About Our After School Program

In Harrisburg, Monday through Thursday, we provide an after school program for school-aged kids living in our Foster Care Community. This program consists of free play time, tutoring, crafts, games, baking, hiking, kickball, and more – all free for our families and children living at The Hill.

We are able to provide this program because of the educational support from the Ticket to Dream Foundation. Ticket to Dream is dedicated to creating hope and opportunity for foster children across the nation – and that’s exactly what this foundation has allowed us to do in Harrisburg with our after school program!

The children love having time to just play and be kids. A fun, and surprising aspect of the program this fall has been the tutoring sessions! Children have been coming in for 40-minute tutoring sessions, but asking to stay for a full 90-minutes because they enjoy learning with a tutor so much!
