We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Equine Specialist to join our team full time. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about horses, confident in equine care and handling, and skilled in working with children in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.
The Equine Specialist will be responsible for daily horse care, assisting with equine programs, maintain tack, equipment, barns, and riding areas, leading trail rides for beginners, exercising and or assisting with training the horses, and helping create positive, educational experiences for children of varying ages and abilities.
Must be at least 16 years old and have a valid driver’s license, able to lift 50+ pounds and stand for long periods of time. Must have experience working with horses; experience working with youth in a lesson/camp program is a plus.
For 30 years, Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries has worked to give each child in its care a safe, loving home environment. What started as one large foster family has grown into three areas of ministry: foster care licensing and support services, a foster care community of homes on our property in Harrisburg, and an equine program for veterans and children in foster care.
