Coyote Hill is an approved Missouri Domestic Violence Tax Credit organization.
Any donation over $100 qualifies for a 70% credit toward your Missouri state tax liability. Any tax credit that cannot be claimed in the tax year associated with the contribution may be carried forward and used against your state tax liability the next tax year.
Why should you utilize this benefit?
The more you give, the more you get back, and the more children we can welcome into a safe Coyote Hill foster home. Your donation strengthens our ministry and benefits you.
What is the difference between a tax credit and a tax deduction?
While both tax credits and deductions reduce your taxes owed, tax credits have a greater impact. Deductions reduce how much of your income is taxed. Conversely, tax credits directly reduce the amount of tax you owe. These tax credits will give you a dollar-for-dollar reduction of your tax liability worth 70% of your total gift. Additionally, the remaining 30% of your gift is still tax deductible. This can have a great impact on your Missouri taxes!
Fill out the application and send it back to Coyote Hill. Our mailing address is PO Box 1, Harrisburg, MO 65256. You can also drop it off in person at your closest Coyote Hill office. View our locations here.
Coyote Hill will submit the application on your behalf. The State of Missouri will process your application and mail your tax credit award directly to you. Allow 45 business days for processing.
This is a Missouri-specific benefit. This credit is limited to $50,000, which is equivalent to a gift of approximately $71,000. When you utilize this tax benefit, it enables us to give more children safe homes!
These tax benefits programs help Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries raise funds by providing partial state tax credits to some businesses and individuals. As Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries Founder Larry McDaniel has shared in the past, “Tax credits are a mutually beneficial vehicle for not-for-profit organizations and donors. These credits allow organizations like Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries to give the best care for our community’s most vulnerable children, while also being a wise economic investment for the state.”
