Coyote Hill is an approved Missouri Domestic Violence Tax Credit organization.
Any donation over $100 qualifies for a 70% credit toward your Missouri state tax liability. Any tax credit that cannot be claimed in the tax year associated with the contribution may be carried forward and used against your state tax liability the next tax year.

What is the difference between a tax credit and a tax deduction?
While both tax credits and deductions reduce your taxes owed, tax credits have a greater impact. Deductions reduce how much of your income is taxed. Conversely, tax credits directly reduce the amount of tax you owe. These tax credits will give you a dollar-for-dollar reduction of your tax liability worth 70% of your total gift. Additionally, the remaining 30% of your gift is still tax deductible. This can have a great impact on your Missouri taxes!
How To Apply:
- Donate $100 or more to Coyote Hill.
- Download the Missouri State Tax Credit application here.
- Fill out the application and send it back to Coyote Hill. Our mailing address is PO Box 1, Harrisburg, MO 65256. You can also drop it off in person at your closest Coyote Hill office. View our locations here.
- Coyote Hill will submit the application on your behalf. The State of Missouri will process your application and mail your tax credit award directly to you. Allow 45 business days for processing.
This is a Missouri-specific benefit. This credit is limited to $50,000, which is equivalent to a gift of approximately $71,000. When you utilize this tax benefit, it enables us to give more children safe homes!
