Together, We Can Support More Children & Families in Foster Care

At Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries, we equip and support foster families so children in care can experience safety and stability. But we can’t do it alone. When churches step in to serve alongside us, the impact multiplies — strengthening families, meeting real needs, and demonstrating Christ’s love in action.

Ways Your Church Can Become a Foster Friendly Church

Meet the Top 5 Needs

Sign Up for CarePortal

CarePortal is an online database that allows Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries to submit the needs of foster families to local churches. Once you’ve signed up, notifications will alert your church of a specific need/request, and then your church can respond if they are able to meet it. Join us and CarePortal as YOU mobilize your congregation to be the hands and feet of Jesus in your community.

Volunteer your church space to host a night of activities for children in foster care, providing foster parents a short-term break.

Train to Be Buddies in Children’s Ministry

Volunteers who are willing to be a Buddy would receive training to meet the unique needs of children in foster care who may need one-on-one support while attending children’s classes/activities at the church.

Receive Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) Training

Children/youth workers and Buddies can receive specialized TBRI® trauma-informed training to help them better assist children in foster care and their families at church.

Foster/Adoptive Ministry

Begin a ministry to support and meet the needs of foster families in your church. This could include (but not be limited to) things like: specialized prayer/share times or support groups; providing meals, transportation, respite care, clothing, etc.; plan a respite night or conference for foster/adoptive families.

If you have questions or need more info on any of these ways your church can become a foster friendly church, contact our Family Advocacy Director, Paige Douce.
