We’re Expanding to Jefferson City!

Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries is thrilled to announce the expansion of the ministry into the Jefferson City area. Thanks to the generous support of many donors, Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries has purchased a home in southeast Jefferson City, MO. This home will serve as a community foster home, with additional supports from Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries. The home will be able to care for up to six foster children at once, providing them with a loving, safe home.

Why Jefferson City?

Everywhere we look across Missouri, more foster homes are needed. In 2020, we have been able to train and license 48 new foster families across the greater mid-Missouri area through our Foster Care Services program.

Support is crucial to the success of these new foster parents. We have been able to walk alongside a few families in the Jefferson City area as they have begun their fostering journey. It is clear there are willing and able families in the area, ready to serve children in need.

As we embarked on this journey, we have met with key leaders in the community, including Jefferson City Mayor Carrie Tergin. “We know the great work that Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries does,” Mayor Tergin said upon hearing of our expansion. “We are looking forward to welcoming them to the community, and building relationships that will impact so many in Jefferson City that need it.”

The home we have purchased is located in the heart of Jefferson City. It’s nearly 4,000 square feet with a finished basement. It’s located on a beautiful lot with plenty of room for kids to roam.

We are excited to introduce you to the two newest members of our Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries family: Rob and Oly Warner. The couple owns Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Jefferson City. Rob is a full-time instructor there. He has also served in the United States military and as a police officer. Oly currently teaches at Helias Catholic High School. Rob and Oly took our fall STARS class alongside 13 other households. They showed perseverance and grit tackling the beginning of their foster parenting journey amid a pandemic. We are so excited to have them on board.

A passionate group of supporters who all hail from the Jefferson City area have been meeting and pursuing this idea for the last several years. We cannot thank our Jefferson City Advisory Board enough for seeing this project through, despite the many challenges we have faced to get it going. We know they will continue to be faithful supporters as the home opens.
