Preparing for the Holiday Season at Coyote Hill

The holiday season at Coyote Hill is in full swing, and we have so many community partners helping foster families have a joyful and stress-free holiday together!

This Thanksgiving, The Hallsville Optimist Club, Weichert Realtors, and Campus Lutheran Church in Columbia donated money for all Coyote Hill foster families to buy Thanksgiving hams, turkeys, sides, and pies! Plus, our friends at The CALE School made cards and crafts for families!

We also had multiple volunteer groups help decorate Coyote Hill spaces. Volunteers from Alpha Phi Omega at Mizzou helped decorate our Family Connections home for Christmas!

We are so grateful for the time and energy they put in to make this space welcoming and festive for children as they spend supervised time with their biological parents!

Our Family Connections home is a safe, comfortable space for bio parents to spend time with their children during supervised visits. We are so excited for this space to provide some Christmas spirit as parents and children spend time together this December.

We have also had wonderful volunteer groups from businesses and organizations help us receive, sort, and label all of the Christmas gifts we have received for Coyote Hill kiddos! This includes the Giving Branch, ADK, Premiere, and many other volunteers!

Holidays can be very challenging for children in foster care–they are missing loved ones while they adapt to new traditions and celebrations. The generosity of providing a Thanksgiving turkey or a bright, decorated space can help create moments of joy or comfort during a difficult season.

We are so grateful for how you keep Coyote Hill kiddos in mind as you celebrate this holiday season!
