Open House Update
In case you haven’t heard, we recently made the very tough decision to cancel this year’s Open House event.
Hosting an annual event where supporters could come spend an afternoon on site with us has been a tradition for two decades. Over the past few years, Open House has become an event with over 400 visitors in attendance. That fact alone caused us to feel the need to cancel in light of COVID-19 and social distancing. Add to that the fact that we love to feed all of our visitors, while having bounce houses and activities available for visiting families, it’s obvious that hosting an Open House event this year is not prudent. We would never want to do anything, even for the sake of long-held traditions, that would put our supporters, volunteers, staff or children at risk.
The decision to cancel was even more difficult because of our plans to celebrate the opening of our newest home for children in Harrisburg, MO, The Ubl Home, during the event. The Ubl Home is now nearing completion!
Help turn this brand new house into a HOME!
Although we aren’t able to host a large event this year and invite you to celebrate this milestone with us, you can still participate in a housewarming. Help us create a home where children from hard places will be welcomed with all the items childhood should consist of, such as toys, board games, fluffy bath towels and a well equipped kitchen for cooking nutritious meals.
To make it as simple as possible, we’ve created registries on Amazon and Target, where you can shop and then have the items delivered directly to us.

Need something to look forward to? The year 2021 will be our 30th year of ministry! We have big plans to celebrate our 30th anniversary at Open House, 2021. We hope to see you there!
