Open House 2021. A Fresh Perspective.
Saturday, September 11 turned out to be a fantastic day to celebrate our 30th anniversary with the community! We always love the opportunity to visit with our supporters. Many of you have been attending Open House for several years, but for some, it was your first time to participate.
Likewise, in part because we had to cancel Open House in 2020, some of our staff were also first-time attendees at Open House this year. We asked them to share their perspective of the event and what it meant to them.
“As a first-timer at Open House it was really fun to see current Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries foster families get to meet former foster families, long time donors meet brand new donors, and old faces meet new ones! I loved seeing the mid-Missouri foster care community come together to celebrate 30 years of keeping children safe. And, it was also a lot of fun!”
~McKenna Neville, Marketing Manager
“After not getting to have Open House last year, it was such a great day to get to put faces to names of those I have met over the phone and virtually over the past year! It was a joy to have our foster care community and friends of Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries all in one place and get to play, converse and take time to remember why we do what we do!”
~Joe Knight, Director of Corporate Relations & Major Gifts
“I started working at Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries just before COVID hit. As a result, there are many Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries supporters I’ve only talked with on the phone and via email. It was such a joy to finally meet them in person and get to know them better. I also loved seeing so many of our community foster families experience The Hill for the first time. They are part of our Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries family and so for them to get to see where it all began is really special.”
