New Retaining Wall at The Hill

We have a new retaining wall at The Hill thanks to the generosity of Lanier and the help of volunteers from MU Health Care’s security team.

This spring, Lanier reached out to us about doing a service project. We have needed a retaining wall by the lake, because we have a very steep hill going down towards the water. It was difficult to mow, hard to maintain, and the soil was washing away.

Simultaneously, Lanier Landscaping wanted to clear out inventory, and they donated most of the supplies for this project! They also spent a Saturday in April working on the retaining wall.

Recently, we had a group of volunteers from MU Health Care come to The Hill and continue working on the wall. With their help, Coyote Hill Property Managers Sam Coy and Tom Head finished the retaining wall. They also had the help of a few children who are working with Sam and Tom this summer.

We love completing projects like this one as a team, because we can build relationships while building something together. We are so grateful for Lanier and MU Health Care  for joining our team on this project. We also want to give a huge shoutout to Lanier for all of the supplies and materials they gave us!
