Hope for the Journey 2024

Note: Hope for the Journey is now Foster the Call Conference.

Hope for the Journey 2024 was a huge success! We had over 200 people register, and 16 workshop presenters!

Hope for the Journey is a conference that shares information about Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)®. TBRI® is a research-based method for connecting with and empowering children.

This conference featured simulcast general teaching sessions from TBRI® experts. These sessions were provided by Show Hope. Show Hope is Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman’s international adoption nonprofit.

This year, Coyote Hill’s Family Restoration Director, Cody Cox, shared an Introduction to TBRI®.

There were also 16 workshop presenters who shared information ranging from Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, music therapy, strategies to connect with teenagers, emotional regulation tools, Autism Spectrum Disorders and diagnosis, and beyond.

We feel so privileged to connect foster parents to these valuable resources. These strategies are also helpful for local teachers, pastors, children’s ministries, and social workers.

We heard from many people that this conference provided valuable resources to implement in their homes or work with children.

One participant shared, “I think the most helpful thing was reassuring myself that I need to take time for myself to be able to help the kids [in my home].  It reminds you that you too have needs and issues that need to be addressed before you can really be there to help the children you are caring for.”

We are so glad that so many people were able to network with and encourage one another!
