Mizzou Football Grants Christmas Wishes
This past weekend, Mizzou Football players used their own money to go shopping for Christmas for our foster families from our Harrisburg Foster Care Community! The team sponsored 40 kids for Christmas this year. Last Saturday, the football players delivered their gifts to our families and allowed them to hang out with them at Faurot Field.
Blaze Alldredge, Mizzou Linebacker, talks about shopping for Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries families. “The best part of my experience at Mizzou has been the opportunity to give back to the community. Getting together as a position group and doing shopping for Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries was a special time and a holiday memory I will always cherish.”
Mizzou Offensive Lineman, Case Cook, chimed in about his experience. “It’s a great thing to give back to kids and to be a great role model for them. Having just a single moment of impact could change everything for a kid.”
Throughout 2021, Mizzou Football has consistently been in the lives of kids from our Harrisburg Foster Care Community. In July, the team put on a “Night of Champions” for children in foster care – which was similar to a mini football camp for 45 kids from The Hill. They got to walk through the locker room, run drills on the field, and eat dinner in the team cafeteria. We are so grateful for all Mizzou Football has done for us this year. The players have been consistent role models to many of these kids, and we are grateful for the impact they are making!
Joe Knight, Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries Director of Corporate Relations, has been constantly blown away by their generosity. “To see the football players purchase gifts and invite our children back to Faurot field was such an incredible experience for all involved. It was fun to see the players take their time and money to give back to our children and help them have a memorable Christmas!”
“A HUGE thanks to Mizzou Football for letting the kids out on the field,” Bri Tennant, a Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries foster mom, said. “Thank you, Mizzou Football, for the experience.”
Thank you, Mizzou Football, for your generosity!
