Meet the Willenburgs

Meet Kyle and Ellie Willenburg, two foster parents in the Jefferson City Area! They have been fostering since the beginning of 2023.

Kyle and Ellie shared that fostering has been on their hearts for a long time. They have three biological children, and they decided to start providing respite, or short-term, care for children in foster care. However, after welcoming a child into their home who needed a more permanent situation, they decided to provide a long-term home for them. This child has been in their home for four months!

“Someone from our church small group encouraged us to get our foster parent certification training through Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries,” they shared. “We are so thankful we did because of how well the training prepared us to foster and the ongoing support we receive.”

We are so grateful for parents like Kyle and Ellie! The licensing process requires 27 hours of foster parent training, as well as multiple home visits and paperwork.

Our team of Family Advocates is there at every step of the process, and we are so honored to help families complete these logistical steps to provide more safe homes for children in foster care.

“Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries does so much to help children in foster care and support the families caring for them,” Kyle and Ellie shared. “The classes offered by Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries are very thorough, and I feel like they prepared us for many of the challenges we have faced as foster parents. [Our Family Advocate] is truly an invaluable resource.”
