On Friday, October 6, we had a record-breaking evening at our annual Boots ‘n Bids charity auction and dinner.
Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries raised over $250,000 through our silent auction, live auction, and generous donations.
Our 17th annual Boots ‘n Bids, presented by TIG Advisors, focused on protecting childhood for children who are in foster care.
We had such a fun night! We had several raffles, and games such as “Shoot Your Shot” and “Heads or Tails.” During “Heads or Tails,” players participated on behalf of a Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries family for a chance to win a Memory Makers experience. Attendees were also able to
The Memory Makers fund is one of our favorite programs, which provides resources for families to help children in foster care make lasting, enriching memories. Examples of these experiences include family trips, covering the cost of sports equipment or registration fees, and more! Everyone was so generous throughout the evening, and we raised more money during the “Raise Your Stick” portion of the live auction than we ever have before!
One foster parent has shared, “Memory Makers has been an amazing, unexpected blessing for our family. These seemingly small experiences in our kids’ lives serve as amazing memories for the rest of their lives. With Memory Makers, we are able to have fun experiences with our children—expenses covered.”
On Friday, we raised over $51,000 for Memory Makers. 94 people contributed to this amazing program during our live auction!
We also heard Blake Wallis’ story. Blake lived at Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries from 2004-2007, and his story exemplifies resilience and perseverance. We were very blessed that he chose to share his story with us.
We are so blessed to be part of such a generous, caring, supportive community. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say thank you to everyone who attended this event, donated an auction item, sponsored a table, or participated in our silent or live auction.
Every action, big or small, directly contributed to making this a record-breaking year at Boots ‘n Bids.
Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries exists because of the generosity of people in our community. People who see the need to care for children in foster care. Every person who participated in this year’s event has taken the time to better understand the problem, and directly impacted the lives of children in foster care with their support.
