Ensuring Children in Foster Care Make Memories

The Coyote Hill Memory Makers Fund provides money to ensure children in foster care can make lasting and enriching memories. This can include the cost of activity fees, sports equipment, helping with the costs of family trips, and more.

Each year, foster families are able to take trips so that their children can see the ocean or the mountains for the first time. Families are able to pay for sports equipment, graduation memorabilia, senior photos, sports games, and other experiential child-focused activities.

In 2023, this fund helped create memories for 130 children in 50 families.

Making memories with their foster families can increase a child’s sense of belonging and acceptance. Additionally, making positive memories can contribute to greater resilience, identity formation, and trust.

Family is all about making memories together. We love how we are able to help foster families create memories that will last a lifetime.

Memory Makers Guidelines

Why Memory Makers?

We believe investing in childhood matters. Each positive childhood memory leads to greater success in adulthood. With the generous support of our community, each child in a Coyote Hill home can participate in an activity, play a sport, receive a new bike, or more!

Guidelines

  • Each child (foster/adoptive/guardianship) in a Coyote Hill home can receive up to $200 each year for their Memory Makers activity.
  • Each request should be a child-focused activity or event.
  • Each child (foster/adoptive/guardianship) can receive a bicycle and helmet in addition to their memory makers activity.
