Top 5 Needs
Not everyone can be a foster parent, but everyone can do something to help a child in foster care!
Below are the top five needs you can fill to support more safe homes for children in your community.
1. Pray
We surveyed our foster parents to see what their biggest need was. Overwhelmingly, they all said that they need prayer for the children in their homes. Your commitment to faithfully pray for children and families in foster care can make a lasting impact.
2. Learn
Learn more about the reality of foster care by attending info sessions, reading our blog, or joining our bi-weekly email list. You can also learn more by exploring our “This is Foster Care” series.
3. Give
A mostly donation of $35 can provide a sensory kit with items to comfort a child for their first night in a new home. It can also provide meals for a foster family experiencing transitions in their home. Nearly all of Coyote Hill’s support comes from our community.
4. Volunteer
Positive relationships with safe adults make a huge difference for children in foster care. You can be a safe person for children to connect with at our quarterly respite events, monthly community groups or family connection homes. Fill out a volunteer application today!
5. Foster
You can change a child’s life by welcoming them into your home, whether it’s for a weekend as a respite provider, or for a long-term stay as a foster parent. Learn more about becoming a foster parent.
