Help Vulnerable Children and Families Today by Joining Our CarePortal Network

ENROLL TODAY

CarePortal is an online, interactive platform that connects families with local churches and other community groups willing and able to provide wraparound services to support children and families in need. In plain language, it is about people helping people triumph over poverty, abuse and neglect.

We are inviting you to help meet the needs of vulnerable children and families so that children can stay with their parents and avoid the trauma of entering foster care. This provides an opportunity for organic relationships to form with the local church and a family in crisis. You will be meeting needs that can’t be met through social services, the school system, or other programs.

How does CarePortal work?

Step 1 – Uncovering Needs

First, Coyote Hill discovers that a family or a child has a need. Families and case workers submit these needs into the CarePortal system, managed by Phil Douce. Often, these needs will allow children to remain in their biological home. Our most frequent needs requests are for beds and bedding.

Step 2 – Submitting and Sharing Needs

Then, caseworkers, supervisors, and Coyote Hill staff can vet and submit needs. The vetting process ensures that needs are legitimate and necessary. CarePortal alerts our network of churches, local organizations, and businesses when a needs request is submitted.

Step 3 – Meeting Needs

Our CarePortal Network helps children and families by meeting their needs directly. Often, churches and organizations work together to cover the cost or deliver furniture, cleaning supplies, tools, etc. Additionally, this is a wonderful opportunity for families to interact directly with church and business leaders and to see they have a community that wants to support them.
