As Christmas approaches, we are so grateful for the Coyote Hill community, who wrapped around our foster families to make this Christmas magical.
Two hundred and fifty-six donors purchased gifts for over 370 children! These donors took the time to shop for presents and drop them off at Coyote Hill offices. We know this takes a lot of time and intentionality. It is humbling to witness how your generosity impacts foster families each year!
Many of our foster parents were overwhelmed with emotion when they saw the presents for their children. One mother had tears in her eyes. Another shared, “Thank you so much for all the effort and energy you and your team put into making the holidays happen easily for our family. I am at a loss of words for how wonderful it is to have the support cheering us on.”
Purchasing gifts may not seem like it makes a difference in the scheme of foster care, but it helps children feel seen and known. It also supports parents as they juggle the demands of the holiday season while providing stability for the children in their homes.
Several businesses and organizations have provided gift cards, toys, bicycles, and more to bless foster families this holiday season. One couple donated several new coats, and another donated new stuffed animals for children impacted by foster care. We have also had volunteers from House of Brokers, our local Alpha Delta Kappa chapter, and Veterans United decorate our office and prepare our “Christmas Store,” where foster families could peruse donations for their homes.
The Coyote Hill community is amazing. We feel so much love and support for our Coyote Hill foster families. Thank you for continuous encouragement, giving, prayer, and love.
