Fill the Gap with Chad Bailey
We would like to introduce you to Chad Bailey, Junior Linebacker at Mizzou. 573Tees and Chad have teamed up to make a t-shirt benefitting kids in foster care! Chad recently took the time to tell us about his passion for foster care and Mizzou Football.

Chad grew up in Missouri City, Texas, about 15 minutes from Houston. “My parents are divorced, but both were always in my life. I have an older brother and sister – I’m the youngest of the bunch. Because my siblings were so much older than me, my mom decided to get into foster care, so I had someone to play with when I was younger. It definitely grew into more than that once I got older. My mom ended up building a love for taking in kids and helping them through the situations they came from.” said Chad.
Growing up Chad’s dream was always to play in the SEC, so when Mizzou reached out, he was incredibly excited for the opportunity. “The best part of playing at Mizzou has been the relationships I’ve built with people from all over – not just on the team, but other students as well.”
Chad will be donating 50% of his proceeds from t-shirts sold to Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries. These proceeds will go directly to Filling The Gap for kids in the foster care system; helping to end child abuse and neglect in this generation. “I am excited to partner with Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries and 573Tees! It’s another way to help foster children in need – like my mom and I have been doing my whole life.”
“Filling the gap to me means – stepping in and filling a role as a parent, sibling, or family member in general.” Chad said. “Children are separated from their families and homes that they were accustomed to and it can be very hard for them to get used to these new changes at a young age. And bringing a child into your home, you want to help them be as comfortable as possible.”
