Back to School with Coyote Hill 2024

Thank you so much to all of our school supplies donors! So many individuals and businesses went above and beyond to ensure Coyote Hill kiddos had everything they needed to start the school year off well. 105 individuals, businesses, and groups sponsored 175 children’s school supplies this year, including: Mizzou Football, First State Community Bank in Columbia and Moberly, Columbia Downtown Optimist Club, Rock Bridge High School Counselors, Mid-Mo Skid Works, Columbia EDP, Little Dixie Construction, Peters Heating and Cooling, Perry’s Full Service, CoMo Premium Exteriors, Mutrux Automotive, Focus on Health Chiropractic, Jeff City Immanuel Baptist Church, Mayecreate Design, Ballenger Propane, Gibson Circle – UMC, Columbia Insurance Group, Jeff City PEO, Columbia-Boonslick Kiwanis Club, and Faith Lutheran Church.

Thank you so much for dedicating your time and resources to purchase backpacks, markers, crayons, calculators, and more with specific children in mind.

There are so many examples of donors going above and beyond to help make children’s transition back to school special this year.

From a manicure kit for a teenage girl to do her nails before school started to a Dairy Queen gift card for a special after school treat, we were so touched to see how much donors cared about making everyone’s first day a little bit easier.

To top it off, several community organizations, including Downtown Optimist Club and  Mizzou Football donated food, backpacks, books, and other goods for foster families to “shop” when they picked up their school supplies. Many families were able to leave with new books, winter coats, and more.

One foster parent shared, “I felt so blessed that I did not have to worry about school supplies and that I have dinner for tonight!”

Another parent shared, “My kids are just on cloud nine after getting their school supplies. We’ve not brought them with us to pick them up before. They loved it!”

Thank you for everything you do to support local foster families! We could not do this without you!
