We are thrilled to celebrate an especially meaningful moment for the Coyote Hill family as Joe Knight and Anna McDaniel are both recognized in Columbia Business Times’ 20 Under 40.
Joe serves as the Development Director for Coyote Hill, and his life has been shaped by deep faith and mentorship. He says, “My faith and relationship with God are what lead me to do what I do to help others thrive and live lives that are more full and engaging,” (COMO Business Times). Joe also recalls how a mentor “saw Joe’s leadership skills… and gave me opportunities to learn,” helping him channel his gifts into this work. Under his leadership, Coyote Hill has expanded, built new partnerships, and grown its reach.
Anna’s story adds a powerful layer to this recognition. She is the first child ever cared for through Coyote Hill—so her journey is intertwined with the very mission we live out. Now, Anna is a leader in her own right. As the COMO Business Times reports, she’s a manager at Love Coffee, a Special Olympics athlete, and an advocate for breaking down barriers for employment among people with disabilities, (COMO Business Times). Her work and voice reflect resilience, service, and purpose.
Seeing them honored together is a beautiful reminder of the ripple effect of saying “yes”—to children, to growth, to possibility. Joe has helped empower families; Anna is proof of what’s possible when a child is given care, support, and a chance.
Congratulations, Joe and Anna—we’re proud of you both. Your stories are the heart of our mission.
