We had a great Lake Day this year! Every August, all of the families living in our Harrisburg Foster Care Community are invited to Lake Day at the Glennon’s!
This year was the 15th annual Lake Day. We had a wonderfully sunny day spent tubing, swimming, floating, and spending time with one another!
Every year, it is so special to see children who live at The Hill experience things for the first time at Lake Day. Many children tubed for the first time this year! We also had many children who enjoyed pretending to be mermaids, jumping repeatedly off of the dock, and some water gun adventures.
This year, the Glennons also provided a sensory inflatable pool for our younger kiddos. This was a shallow pool where they could sit in the shade and play in the water. It was a huge hit!
After spending a day swimming and tubing, we enjoyed a delicious dinner together.
This tradition was started by Kenny Rall and is carried on each year through the hard work and generosity of John and Cindy Glennon, Jeff and Cindy Parshall, Patt and Cheryl Stansberry, Tom Kaiser, and Lisa Dresner. We are so grateful for the effort and intentionality they put in to create this amazing experience for our Harrisburg foster families!
