If you were not able to attend Open House this year…you missed a beautiful day! God painted us the perfect backdrop to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Home 3–The Hubbell Home. One of our homes was once again filled with new visitors, old friends, and even more kids to fill the playground.
Guests entered our “Construction Zone” upon arrival. Kids tested their building skills at the Bob the Builder game–sponsored by Trabue, Hansen & Hinshaw, Inc.; and everyone got the chance to walk through & see the progress at Home 4. Of course, there was also a wonderful BBQ prepared by our Chairman of the Board, Pete Cummings; bounce house, cotton candy & snow cones; & honorary presentation for Ira & Gail Hubbell.
As another sweet treat this year…we held our first ever Dessert Competition! Seventeen competitors brought in their delicious, homemade desserts to be judged by our celebrity panel: Pastor Cole Calloway-Hodson, of Perche Baptist Church; Pastor John Gillman, of Harrisburg Christian Church; Richard Arnold, host of KMFC 92.1 Journey to the Cross. After a tough judging session & even a tie for 2nd…we crowned our winners!
