Family Traditions: Snow Ice Cream

Two significant snowfalls in early November can mean only one thing…the opportunity to pass down snowy, family traditions to children who may have never before experienced them.

Home / Foster Parent Mom in the Hubbell Home in Harrisburg, Missouri, Brittany McCaskey, explains, “Today we made snow ice cream. We had to wait for our containers to fill up with snow, then add all of the ingredients. None of the kids had made it before. Our 11-year-old said he wanted to make this with his own kids some day – that melted my heart. It is such a joy to pass on something from my childhood to their childhood!”
Below is the recipe Brittany used with her children. We are so grateful for our family of supporters who make family traditions, large and small, a reality for our kids.
