Car Maintenance 101

As Father’s Day approaches, here’s a shout out to our dads who are daily investing their time and talents for the sake of our kids.

For Home Parent Dad in the Wright Home, Andrew Heberlein, that recently looked like spending some time explaining the basics of car maintenance and mechanics to three boys in his home. Boys who may have never watched anyone pop a hood, much less jump start a battery, now have a little more knowledge and skill to help prepare them for life.

Training for Life is a part of our program and services at Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries. Yet this is about so much more than following program protocol. This is about being a father…spending quality time with the kids, teaching them skills to help them through life. Showing them, intentionally or by example, that becoming a responsible adult is a process that can be approached with confidence and expectations of success.
