Happy 25th Birthday, Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries

Lovely weather and a crowd of over 400 people made Sunday, September 11th a perfect day to celebrate our 25th!

Executive Director, Larry McDaniel stated in a Columbia Missourian article, “It was quite a journey to get here.” That not only applies to the past 25 years in general, but also specifically to the event. For weeks staff, volunteers and children have been working on numerous projects – everything from scrubbing floors to installing drains and new retaining walls. Yet the enthusiastic and supportive crowd that turned out on Sunday made it all worthwhile.

Brian Wallace, Home Parent Dad of the Atherton Home (where the main festivities were held) stated, “I was overwhelmed and overjoyed to see such a turn out. I enjoyed sharing it with my own extended family. They loved seeing the ministry in action and witnessing the great support and turn out from our community.”

Development Director, Kari Hopkins, concluded in a news report by KOMU, “This is one of my favorite days of the year. It’s a day where a lot of old friends come back and it’s a great time to meet new friends. It’s hard for people to understand what we do here, so I love today, when everyone can come and see the property.”

Larry concludes, “We are going for another 25 years, and who knows how many more.”

Thanks to all of YOU who helped make the day so very special. Enjoy a few photo-op moments from the afternoon:
