Blast from the Past – The Wounded Spirit
May is National Foster Care Month. We hope to remind you throughout this month of the importance of your support as we care for these children who, through no fault of their own, have been placed in foster care. Through our 25 years of existence, our goal has been to bring them healing by restoring their childhood and modeling for them a healthy, loving family – thus, strengthening their families of tomorrow.

Listen as our Staff Therapist in 2005, Stephanie Hillerman, explained…

“I once read Frank Peretti’s only non-fiction book, The Wounded Spirit, in which he shared his own personal story in order to speak up about breaking the continuous cycle of violence that children are falling prey to. It changed me.

God showed me in Proverbs 18:14, ‘The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit?’ Our spirit is essential to our existence. Every encounter possesses the potential to either break down or build up a person’s spirit. I believe in the goal of Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries, to strengthen and build up the spirit of the children God has allowed us to minister to.”

That will always be our goal – to build up and strengthen children who have been broken. THANK YOU for continuing to give us that opportunity!
