With over 750 people in attendance for our Pancake Breakfast, that stacks up to a lot of pancakes! Over $5,500 was raised, making this year’s breakfast one of our most successful to date. After expenses, each of our homes now has over $1,100 in their summer recreation fund. We’re definitely set up for some summer family fun.
Development Director, Kari Hopkins, says, “I love the Pancake Breakfast because it’s our most eclectic crowd. Grandmas, college students, motorcycle clubs, families; everyone loves pancakes! I spoke to a family whose daughter cheers for Upward and they said this was their sixth time coming to the breakfast. They never miss it. I think that’s special.”
Our Event and Volunteer Coordinator, Liza Thompson, concludes, “It is a true joy to see so many come together for the sake of our kids at Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries. Our guests, musicians that perform, and volunteers that run the show are what make it so much FUN! To see a community come together and support our children is my favorite part of every event…top it off with pancakes and sausage and it doesn’t get any better! Thank you to all that came and to those that gave of their time.”
