Monday, May 8th was a day for the record books – nearly $50,000 raised, with 36 teams participating in our 10th Annual Golf Tournament! We’re truly thankful for all of of our sponsors and participants. Providing for the children of Coyote Hill is a community effort, and events like this help us feel extremely blessed by our supportive community.
A highlight of the event, following lunch, was Calvin Temple taking a few moments to speak to the crowd of 144 players. Calvin is a former resident of Coyote Hill, and current board member. (You can watch his story HERE.) He encouraged the players that their donations for the event would be used wisely and invested in their future community. Calvin explained that because of Coyote Hill, he is now a successful husband, father and member of the armed forces…teaching his own children to someday be successful. He concluded by saying, “Without Coyote Hill, I don’t know where I would be today. It’s possible I’d be out there trying to break into your vehicles.”
Thanks again to all of our players and sponsors who made the event a success for our children!
