What is that? You’ve probably guessed it – hauling hay and bucking bales. And so the adventure into the history books began.
A few hours later, 600 bales had been collected from a local field, hauled and unloaded into the loft of our hay barn, ready to feed our horses this winter. Just as importantly, many of our children gained real-life experience in the importance of teamwork. It only took a moment for children who weigh less than a bale of hay to realize they couldn’t lift it by themselves, no matter how independent they might want to be. The reliance on others and the willingness of everyone to pitch in and lend a hand was even more inspiring than doing an activity that may someday be relegated to the history books.
See for yourself – get a LOAD of all the teamwork that happened that afternoon!
