Boots ‘n Bids 2013: Old West…New Fun

Our 7th Annual Boots ‘n Bids for Kids, held on October 3, was a whole lot of fun packed into one evening!

The night kicked off with local band, Comic Book Society, playing some classic rock ‘n roll tunes. Guests enjoyed mingling through the rows of raffle and silent auction items, while sipping on their root beer floats courtesy of our Mugs Up Root Beer Bar.

Emcee Cole Calloway-Hodson kept the night rolling, announcing raffle winners and encouraging bids. One particular winner, Laurene Zimmer, got extra luck and walked away with the pink bike and the fishing package!

We had the distinct pleasure of honoring Mrs. Jane Williams, founder of Love INC, with the Donna Crockett Memorial Award. Jane was both gracious and overwhelmed by the honor. After the award ceremony, former resident Calvin Temple and Larry told a heart-felt story of the first day Calvin came to live with him, and how that forever changed his life. Larry Atterberry closed out the evening with our Live Auction. Items like the hand-crafted storage shed and the Wisconsin fishing trip for two were a big hit!

Guests raved about the food provided by Hoss’s Market, the root beer bar, and the overall environment. According to some, “Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries really knows how to throw a party!”
