“The Crossing” Reaches New Bounds

April 24 was the last day of “National Volunteer Week.” Whether they knew it or not, The Crossing Church in Columbia (3615 Southland Drive) celebrated it with a bang by sending a record number of workers out to Coyote Hill.
The threat of rain and storms did not discourage them from coming out to tackle several projects. You name it and it probably happened: painting, fencing, cleaning, raking, landscaping, gardening, transplanting, mulching, limb-trimming, cooking…and the list goes on. Workers ranged from professionals donating their time and services to children doing anything they could to help. Over 150 workers scattered throughout our homes and property. Even lunch was provided by just one of the many hard working small groups.
Eventually the rain brought a halt to some of the work, but it was still an incredible day full of fun, laughter, and lots of hard-working volunteers!
We want to send a super-sized “thank you” to everyone from The Crossing who gave up their Saturday to pull off a super-sized work day at Coyote Hill!
Enjoy a few pictures from the day. You can view even more pictures on Facebook at The Crossing’s page. ![]()
