A Memorable Homecoming
Lots of time and effort went into February’s homecoming event – and it all started with many of you donating funds to help our girls purchase dresses and accessories – so thank you!
After hours of shopping and lots of anticipation, the big day finally arrived. Homeparents Ben & Christine decided they would surprise everyone by turning Home #2’s van into a “limo” while everyone was away at school. What a transformation! Complete with nice seating, decorations, lights and some sparkling juice to “cork” it all off, it couldn’t have been any better.
Once school was out, Home #3 hosted a pizza party for all of our younger children so the mom’s could gather at Home #2 and help the girls do their makeup and hair. After a dinner served just for the Homecoming attendees, they loaded up in the “limo” and arrived just in time for the coronation ceremony. This ended up being a very exciting aspect of homecoming, as the student body chose one of our teen girls to be the Homecoming Princess for the 9th and 10th graders! Way to go, Princess S! Of course, we can’t forget the dance that completed the evening…our teens got lots of exercise by making the most of that.
Thank you, supporters, for providing the funds to make memorable nights like this possible, and thank you, homeparents, for all you did to help make it special!
Enjoy some photos from the evening…
